Rovio is the company behind the pop culture phenomenon Angry Birds. Rovio's LGBTQIA+ employee resource group and management had misaligned expectations mostly because of the limited interaction between the two groups. As it happens in many companies.
LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Workshop:
We facilitated a workshop that provided a safe space for both sides to openly discuss concerns and expectations. By the end of the session, the group and senior leaders built a shared model and established guiding principles to improve communication and alignment going forward.
OUTCOME
The workshop built trust, improved communication, and fostered a more inclusive culture. Senior leaders and the LGBTQIA+ ERG spent a full day breaking down barriers, openly sharing challenges, and aligning on DEI goals. ISSUE:
The marketing team, which expanded quickly, faced fragmented communication and frequent conflicts. Team members were so focused on their individual tasks that they struggled to align with the broader marketing goals.
